Most people who have heard of the word ‘dowsing’ think it is
only used to search for underground water. They imagine someone standing
in a field holding a rod or hazel twig in each hand and watching them move,
vibrate or turn when water is located. There are many people who do just
that, but also there are just as many who choose to use dowsing with a different
approach.
Therapists using dowsing can choose to use metal rods, sticks or a dowsing
pendulum. They are looking for specific things that can help them either
diagnose symptoms – for example – what could be causing them
to have allergic reactions or find out if there is something or someone
who is causing them to experience problems in a different way.
We all choose to use our own particular method of dowsing. There is no right
or wrong way.
A pendulum becomes a diagnostic tool when used by a particular therapist
and can facilitate healing during an appointment and dramatic distant healing
where the client has not even met the therapist. The effects can be experienced
on a personal level or on a property. Items holding onto negative energy
which may be causing the problems, can be located and either worked with
or they may need to be removed for the client to progress. This creates
both excitement and surprise.
The effects of dowsing, when used by a qualified practitioner are usually
able to be noticed within a very short period of time, sometimes within
hours – sometimes a little longer – perhaps the next day. Certain
things are more obvious than others, but the effects are really recognised
and appreciated as the client compares the old problem with the new pattern
and events that are beginning to change. Whether it is a skin condition,
a type of depression or unexplained phenomenon it responds beautifully to
the wonderful positive energy that is created by a the experienced therapist
/dowser.
